At Adecco Recruitment we are looking for a HSE Leaf for a multinational company, based in Matosinhos, Porto.

Responsibilities

  • Manage related activities and oversee compliance aspects of operational activities
  • Perform audits of all aspects of HSE
  • Execute special audits as required in order to investigate specific issues on behalf of the company.
  • Assist with management, development and continuous improvement of the HSE policies, processes and management systems.
  • Work with client and company teams to investigate root-causes and implement corrective actions where HSE deficiencies are discovered. Influence and coach Senior Management to ensure robust HSE systems are in place.
  • Present HSE related topics to local and senior management.
  • Perform investigations and special projects as required by management team.
  • Advise clients and company, of any changes in legislation which may impact the business.
  • Timely report and investigation of HSE related incidents and audit findings
  • Added value to the business through implementing efficient, standardized systems and processes
  • Maintain an effective relationship with the client and corporate EHS groups and statutory authorities as required
  • Maintain communication with key company and client personnel, monitoring HSE and providing support, advice and expertise to operational teams at all levels
  • Provide expertise in Health, Safety and Business Risk and advice and consultancy for company employees at client sites
  • Perform audits of HSE compliance for all IFM services which are provided to the client
  • Conduct training in HSE topics to the wider operations team and third parties where necessary
  • Formulate, implement, monitor and review HSE plans (including the setting of objectives, agreeing priorities and establishing adequate systems for performance management) to ensure implementation of legislative requirements and best practice

  • Ensure the operating model, output and objectives for the central HSE Hub is accurate and the effectiveness of this concept is monitored, managed and updated at all times.

Required Profile

  • Minimum 5 years Health and Safety experience
  • Health and safety professional (prefered pharmaceutical) , ideally within facilities management Experience/understanding of auditing process.
  • Ability to write persuasive and effective reports and communications
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Fluent English other relevant major languages is an advantage
  • Established knowledge of health & safety law
  • Extensive knowledge of current market conditions
  • Travel across the EMEA region is required for this role

This is a hybrid position with flexible working hours.
